The Bluegrass Beekeepers Association has many beekeepers who are willing to collect a swarm of honey bees. We have had calls lately for beekeepers who are experienced in removing bees from a building or structure. Bluegrass Bee School 2023 Flyer- Update
All are invited to the Beginner Beekeeper’s School hosted at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension by the Capital City Beekeepers Association.
It is on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 with registration beginning at 8AM EST. The program begins at 9AM EST. It is free to members of our local association, or $10 at the door.

Join us Monday, June 13 at 7 pm for our monthly association meeting held at the Fayette County Extension office, 1140 Harry Sykes Way, Lexington. Our speaker will be Randy Oliver. He will present via Zoom on his latest research. You do not need to be a member to attend. Come at 6:30 for an open Q&A time to ask any questions you might have about keeping bees. We have a potluck at 7:00 (bring your own beverages) and the meeting will begin at 7:30.
